Rocky Linux needs YOU - Community Manager

Are you a social media guru? Does community engagement excite you? Do you like the idea of managing events, authoring blog posts, and building relationships?

Of the work that all of our teams do, perhaps the most visible is that of the Community team. From the forums and our Mattermost chat to our news page and the social media platforms where we have a presence, no other team plays a greater role in promotion and awareness than Community. It's our community managers that champion the successes of each of our teams, onboard new contributors, engage with other open source projects, and make our presence felt across the globe. Without them, the great things that we do would go largely unseen.

Specific tasks include:

• Authoring and posting new blogs, such as release announcements and contributor spotlights
• Engaging with and welcoming community members on social media, our forums, and in our chat
• Helping organize participation to the various events we attend (travel confirmations, swag inventory, booth collateral, conference tickets, sponsorships, etc.)
